Apple Butter Bliss brings rich apple and warm baking spice to your glass—and your breakfast table. Start with the Spiced Apple Old Fashioned, then explore a mocktail, coffee, another cocktail, and two easy food pairings.
These recipes are starting points: adjust sweetness and citrus to suit your ingredients. All ounces below are fluid ounces. 1/2 oz = 1 tablespoon.
1. Spiced Apple Old Fashioned
One cocktail. Rich apple and bourbon, with bitters to bring it together.
- 2 oz bourbon
- 1/2 oz Apple Butter Bliss
- 2 dashes bitters
- Optional: orange peel or a thin apple slice
- Add bourbon, syrup, and bitters to a mixing glass with ice.
- Stir until chilled and lightly diluted, about 20–30 seconds.
- Strain over a large ice cube in a rocks glass. Garnish if desired.
2. Apple Ginger Fizz Mocktail
One drink. Crisp lime, warming ginger, and spiced apple.
- 1/2 oz Apple Butter Bliss
- 1/2 oz fresh lime juice
- 3 oz nonalcoholic ginger beer
- 2 oz sparkling water
- Ice and an apple slice
- Stir syrup and lime juice together in a tall glass.
- Fill with ice, then add ginger beer and sparkling water.
- Stir gently and garnish with apple. For a less sweet drink, replace some ginger beer with sparkling water.
3. Apple Butter Latte
One latte, served hot or iced.
- 2 shots espresso
- 1/2 oz Apple Butter Bliss
- 6 oz milk or oat milk
- Optional: a light dusting of cinnamon
- Stir the syrup into freshly brewed espresso.
- For a hot latte, add steamed milk. For an iced latte, add cold milk and pour over ice.
- Finish with cinnamon if desired. Add more syrup a teaspoon at a time for a sweeter latte.
4. Spiced Apple Bourbon Sour
One cocktail. A bright, citrus-led counterpart to the Old Fashioned.
- 2 oz bourbon
- 3/4 oz Apple Butter Bliss
- 3/4 oz fresh lemon juice
- Ice and a lemon twist
- Add bourbon, syrup, and lemon juice to a shaker filled with ice.
- Shake for 10–15 seconds, then strain over fresh ice in a rocks glass.
- Garnish with a lemon twist.
5. Apple Butter French Toast
Serves 2.
- 4 thick slices brioche or challah
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon Apple Butter Bliss for the custard
- 1–2 tablespoons Apple Butter Bliss for serving
- A pinch of salt
- 1 tablespoon butter for the pan, plus more as needed
- Whisk eggs, milk, 1 tablespoon syrup, and salt in a shallow dish.
- Dip each bread slice into the custard, coating both sides without soaking it until it falls apart.
- Melt butter in a skillet over medium-low heat. Cook the bread for about 3–4 minutes per side, until golden and the egg mixture is cooked through.
- Divide between two plates and drizzle with the remaining syrup.
6. Apple Crunch Yogurt Bowl
One serving. A quick breakfast with a spiced apple finish.
- 3/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1/2 apple, diced
- 1/4 cup granola
- 1–2 teaspoons Apple Butter Bliss
- Optional: chopped pecans
- Spoon yogurt into a bowl and top with diced apple and granola.
- Drizzle with syrup and add pecans if desired. Serve immediately for the best crunch.
